‘CAMP TAKOTA’ FILM SCORED BY JINGLE PUNK RW SMITH

For the upcoming comedy Camp Takota, producer Michael Goldfine chose to bypass indie film box office distribution, and instead has gone straight to the source that made its stars famous — the Internet, casting YouTube comediennes Grace Helbig, Hannah Hart, and Mamrie Hart.

As said in our recent Real Screen panel – music matters — and no one knows that more than Jingle Punks composer RW Smith, who scored the film.

Capturing the warmth and fun of summertime, Smith’s score rolls together the frayed tenderness of Jon Brion, the quirkiness of Mark Mothersbaugh, and the humanity of Broken Social Scene. Take a listen to motif “Reasons in RGB,” and catch the trailer for Camp Takota, out February 14 on VHX.
